Fresh and cheap

hotel

OK, my last stay in LAX included an over nite stay and the hotel used was the Sheraton “Four Points”.  The lobby looks great, nice a furniture, spacious and very modern looking.  Help at the Front desk OK, but could have more help during check out hours, as the line gets long.  The rooms are not up to par, old looking, although they have tried to make up grades, two extra large pillows for back support, and the regular sleeping pillows are OK.  Room still looks like 1950′ ish, I realize that they are doing renovations, but as of today (July 10, 2010) the rooms have not had the make over. Restaurant OK for an airport hotel. One huge draw back is the airport transportation, Four Points is currently contracting out this service, besides the Four Points, the bus services also stops at another hotel, space during checking out time is very limited and crowed.  The bus service was also very slow in picking up from the airport going to the hotel.

hotel

just stayed at a great hotel in LA and right next door to Disneyland.  It was the Holiday Inn Express on Walnut St. and Ball St.  And from the parking lot of the hotel you can see the fireworks show, and I mean you are right there.  Rooms are clean and good size.  There is a restaurant, which is OK, but does not stay open late, so plan accordingly. Its a bit far to walk to Disneyland, but it is do able, but since you will be walking a lot in Disneyland, suggest that you take the shuttle bus, cost about 10 bucks per person.
